Bird Flight Resistance Analysis and Planning Strategies in Urban Regeneration Areas: A Case Study of a Certain Area in Shenzhen, China

At present, the sharp decline in urban biodiversity worldwide is severe. Conducting biological perspective analysis and proposing space construction solutions during regeneration can greatly alleviate contradiction between conservation. In this study, birds were taken as representatives, a certain area Shenzhen with strong conservation needs was used an example. Based on thorough of bird status, minimum resistance model applied to establish surface describing real flight movement indicator species construct pattern from process birds. The results show that: (1) lowest southern green northern woodland around reservoir research region, higher central part, but path least therein has potential become corridor. (2) From community structure vegetation, sparse shrubland region have low high richness, which are most ideal forms for birds; architecture, shows negative correlation building height positive density. final design plan thus derived, validity method verified based index. This study reveals possibility applying small medium-scale areas, also provides insight into spatial elements, assist decision-makers, planners developers planning standpoint.
